Business Continuity Management (BCM) Lead

Role Overview

The BCM Lead will develop, implement, and continuously enhance the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program to ensure ADNOC Distribution remains resilient, compliant, and prepared for disruptions across UAE and international operations.

The role ensures alignment with:

  • NCEMA 7000
  • ISO 22301
  • UAE laws and regulations
  • International BCM standards and best practices

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain an auditable BCM governance framework
  • Ensure compliance with NCEMA 7000, ISO 22301, and regulatory requirements
  • Expand BCM framework across international operations

Risk & Preparedness

  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA)
  • Perform Business Continuity Risk Assessments
  • Develop response strategies for:
    • Natural disasters
    • Cybersecurity incidents
    • Pandemics
    • Geopolitical disruptions

Planning & Implementation

  • Develop and maintain BCM Strategy, Policy, and Framework
  • Support business units in Emergency, BC, and DR plan development
  • Conduct BCM compliance inspections
  • Perform annual reviews and plan testing exercises

Training & Awareness

  • Conduct leadership awareness programs
  • Deliver operational management training
  • Lead simulation exercises and readiness drills
  • Promote business resilience culture

Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor corrective actions
  • Evaluate BCM control effectiveness
  • Conduct strategic BCM studies for senior management

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline
  • MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of professional experience
  • 3–5 years in Business Continuity Management
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Financial, or Technology sectors
  • Direct involvement in disaster recovery or crisis management scenarios
  • Strong project leadership and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken)

Professional Certifications (Preferred)

  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • MBCI (Member of the Business Continuity Institute)
  • ISO 22301 Lead Auditor
